Bed and Breakfast : Seal View

Pabbay and Harris from the west beach

Our traditionally-styled stone-built house is centrally located on the Isle of Berneray, next to the Bays Loch seal colony.

Sealview websiteThe house has recently been extended to include a large and comfortable family guestroom, affording magnificent views out over Bays Loch and the Minch beyond.

We are located within easy walking distance of the beaches, shop, post office, ferry terminal and other services.

From your room you are virtually guaranteed to enjoy views of seals as well as herons, oystercatcher and possibly otters which frequent the nearby shoreline.

The panoramic view takes in North Uist, Harris, many smaller islands in the Sound of Harris and, on a clear day, the mountains of Skye and the mainland beyond.

The guestroom itself is fully equipped with features to make your stay enjoyable.

The sleeping accommodation comprises one double bed and a single bed with pull-out, sleeping up to four in total. The room has a television, DVD and video player, radio and tea and coffee-making facilities.

A small boat tied up in front of the houseThere is a broadband-connected computer and Wi-Fi zone. If you really have to work while you’re with us, we make it possible!

The tiled ensuite bathroom includes both a shower and a bath.

Breakfast is served at a time of your choosing in the family kitchen/dining room on the ground floor.

If you want to know what the weather’s like before your visit, check out the readings from the online weather station based at the property.

“I have now stayed in two B&Bs and one hotel on the islands and I can honestly say that your room is better by far than any of them. I told everyone I met where I had stayed and to go stay with you, even for a night, cause it is all worth it!”
