Clams

Clams, scallops and other seafood can sometimes be found in the shores around Berneray. Usually, these are picked during the very low spring tides, by local people who know where to look - and which treacherous areas to avoid.

The particular items in this picture were boiled, cleaned, and served in hot butter. Delicious!
