Berneray east beach
The east beach of Berneray. Many visitors make the incorrect assumption that because it is the Outer Hebrides, there will not be much sunshine, and what there is will be weak. As many sunburnt visitors will testify, this is not the case. Even for a stroll on the beach, if you burn easily slap on some suntan beforehand; Ardmaree Stores usually has some if you have not come prepared.
