Idyllic thatched cottage - Backhill, Berneray

30 Backhill

The owners Anna and Hilary are delighted to welcome you to this stone-built, thatched cottage on the idyllic island of Berneray in the Western Isles.
The cottage is cosy and romantic, with a wood-burning stove, a double bedroom with Harris Tweed soft furnishings, a good sized bathroom and an elegant and comfy sitting room with two good sofas, a dining area and a fully-fitted, well-equipped kitchen to one side. WiFi provided. All rooms look out over the sea, where you can see seals lazing on the rocks, and even an otter if you’re lucky.

Put your busy lives on hold, and enjoy the magic of Berneray, with its white sandy beaches, abundant wildlife, flower-carpeted machair and slow pace of life. Sit in the garden on sunny days and watch the boats in and out of the harbour, enjoy long walks over hills and beaches, catch the ferry to Harris for a day out, or drive across the causeway to enjoy the additional delights of the Uists.

At the end of the day, relax by the fire with a glass of wine, watch the harbour lights twinkling, and enjoy our selection of Hebridean books and guidebooks.

To book, please visit www.berneraycottage.co.uk. Alternatively you can email hrw1@live.co.uk or telephone the owners, Anna Dreda and Hilary White on 01588 660154 or 07867 845774. We look forward to welcoming you.
